I haven't seen one of these before, so I was really pleased I was able to capture it, they don't like posing for photos, and tend to fly off as soon as you get near.
Any tips or constructive criticism are welcome :)

Wow! You did well to get this as my experience tends to be that they have flown away before you have pressed the shutter.

First time saw this kind of dragonfly. Nicely done! Panasonic DMC-FZ7 can support conversion lens, that mean you can try to add Hoya Closeup +4 Filter for even nicer macro shot!
