Traveling the canals

This was taken near to where I live. there is a large network of canals, where you can take a holiday on a barge. such a peaceful way to see the Engish countryside.

It certainly is a nice way of life, I have a narrowboat moored at Newark.
Love your shot, captures the essence of the waterways. Where did you take it?

I love the peacefulness along the canal, and all the wildlife. How wonderful to have your own narrowboat :)

@Vanessa: This was one of the wonderful warm days last month, Vanessa! I think we're in for more rain :( off to York and Whitby on the 8th July, hope the weather improves by then, got the waterproofs and wellies ready, just incase lol
