The last drop of sunlight.

The boat to right, had been pulling a water skier, but they stopped to watch the sun setting. I was going to crop this one but desided against it, because I liked the clouds just above the boat,
This sunset was taken off the pier at Whitby North Yorkshire UK

I think this is one of the best sunsets I've seen in a long time, and the fact it was over the sea, it helped to make it special.

Nice one, Mary! The sky is wonderful, I like the bright outline to the upper edge on the right of the cloud. You picked a great day to visit Whitby!

AWESOME, such dreamy feel in this shot MAry, and certainly a very romatnic place. Ok ok.... i know i am just oozing out romance now-a-days lol, with my distant lovers, moonlit lovers and many more to come hahaha...

Yes, the clouds are really dramatic. A beautiful sunset, I have to admit, even if we Canadians believe we have the best sunsets. By the way, thank you for the kind words about my grand-daughters. They are in Yorkshire at present, a few km east of Beverly, to visit their other Grandparents

@daniel kurniawan: Thank you daniel, I wanted to try to take, sunset shots without the sun in them, to capture the colours and effects. As you can see I couldn't resist, taking some with the sun in them :)

your horizon was ever so slightly out and it was annoying me so i copied it in to photo shop and straightened it and new its a perfect shot. nice one

I've checked out your photo blog, you have some amazing captures there. I've not been to the parts of Ireland you've captured, It looks so beautiful, so next time I'm over, I'll see if we can make a trip up to that part of the country :)
