@Henk Goossens: Thank you Henk :) the work on this belongs to nature, no PP on this one :)
beautiful capture of contrasting colours and textures!
see how when great genius and creativity are put ot good use you get such wonderful architecture!
so it's always sad to see how such genius and creativity being used to create A-bomb which was dropped on Hiroshima today 62 years ago killing hundred thousnads of people flash and many more after due to radiation sickness...
watched a sad documentary about it yesterday... may it never happen again...

@tyan: Thank you very much tyan :) I wish everywhere in the UK the buildings were this beautiful, in the 1970's they built some awful housing and shops, usually knocking down beautiful old buildings, to put them there. You have just given me an idea for a series, to do with architecture, around where I live, thank you tyan, it may take a few weeks, so watch this space :)
Yes I know, we called that the golden hour. :-)

@Henk Goossens: He He :) ......I guess it was obvious really, unless I had improved dramatically since yesterday LOL :D Ah! the golden hour is a great discription for it :)
Wow Mary, this series is like a tour of anicient world. Thanks for sharing these. Very nicely done here, perfect symmetry in this shot, the light and composition is awesome. Very well done.
PS : Do email me the other id, so my poor email can go thru. LOL!!! Failed again.

@Rahul: Cheers pal :) I have a passion for architecture and history, I don't study it or anything but it all facinates me, and always has since I was a child :)
Have sent you an email with my other id :)
Wow, totally awesome shot, Mary! I love it! :) I must agree with tyan there has been precious little sensitive restoration/preservation done in s'pore of our beautiful historical/old buildings...it is such a huge pity, so much of our history and heritage (and life and soul and spirit) lost in the name of "modernisation"

@Rebecca: Thank you very much Rebecca :) I find it very sad when old historical buidings aren't looked after or preserved, I agree with you Rebecca, the life and soul has been torn out of many of the worlds towns and cities it is such a loss. There is a wonderful conservation centre in the Dudley, West Mildands, they have taken buildings brick by brick from where they were once situated and reconstructed them into a small village it's a brilliant place to visit :)
A beautifully symmetrical capture and this time the sky is blue and faultless.

@tengtan: Thank you tengtan :) The sky in this one is down to mother nature, :) we had, had rain earlier, but then the sky cleared and the sun shone, it was wonderful to see the Minster bathed in the late afternoon sunlight :)
Wonderful detail . . . I love these kinds of images . . .
