On Reflection

The water in the river Ouse was so still, that it gave such a wonderful reflection.
personally I think this looks better viewed the other way up, and I nearly posted it that way. I decided not to in the end :)
best viewed, maybe standing on your head LOL :D

It was one of those times that you just look over a bridge to see what was there, I certainly didn't expect to see such a clear reflection as this.

I tried a few different shots with different amounts of the real building in, but there was a modern building in the background and I didn't really want to see it. and I thought that the reflection was to good to miss part of it out :)

I agree with you the building reflection colour is a lot better, the sun was very bright also it was reflecting off a very large modern white building, that I obsured with the trees.

reflections are really nice, i copied it into photoshop and rotated it 180degree and its very confusing to look at but fun :)

I've never seen water in a river that still before, it was a real suprise as we have had so much rain.

Reflections in the water when it is still look so nice... very good capture.
The only thing I noticed was the wash out of the sky in the background. However with such a wide range of contrast in this scene it is difficult to get a good exposure. Have you ever tried bracketing your exposures? Some times if you let some of the image go a little dark you can bring the brighter portion into a range your sensor can handle. There also are some filters that are designed to help with extreme contrasts... I could ramble on for ever but you get the point.
I have an earlier post where I took a capture of a reflection and could have flipped it to make it look entirely different. Take a <A href=http://2dogphotography.aminus3.com/image/2007-05-25.html>look </A>.

Very nice. The reflection looks even better and richer in color than the actual. There might be a story in that somewhere.

I like the colours best in the reflection too, maybe if I wasn't trying so hard not to get a large white modern building in the shot. I could have done something about the harsh sunlight on the building itself :)

Very beautiful! Just like yesterday with the clouds and the trees framing the minster, here the vegetation and the building are framing the bridge with it's reflection. You certainly have an eye for this! Congrats!
