This little fly was sheltering from a rain shower, and enjoying the flowers in my garden. everything is beautiful in it's own way :)
Please spare a thought and a prayer today for everyone who have been caught up in Hurricane Dean!
Any tips or constructive criticism are welcome :)

@JED: Thank you JED, they are pretty scary close up :)
Nice shot Mary, but it does look a little menacing with those big eyes? But flies do have wonderful colourings, shame they leave their eggs on the wet cat food.

36 mm! but you were very close to that fly! brrrr! Very well done, it's so hard to get the clearness on the fly, you got her eyes!

@Wolfgang Prigge: Why, thank you very much Wolfgang :) I was amazed that he stayed there for me, I thought he would fly away as soon as I got near to him! so it was a real big suprise when he stayed there when I put the camera, right up close. I made the most of it and took a few shots but this one was the best :)

20 Aug 2007 9:09pm
I looked at your bee on the next post first as wasn't able to get around this past couple of days - but this is stunning - don't need to bump up anything - he'd probably have flown away while you were messing with other exposures! Never seen such a great close-up of a fly before!
Thanks for reminding us of he Hurricane victims. Very kind thought!
