I like the idea of a butterfly getting blue eye instead of red, a much prettier colour :) but I didn't use the flash, I think the blue is a result of the sunlight that was shining and being filtered through the vines above. I have some other shots of butterflies and their eyes are spotted. I aways thought that a butterflies eyes were black!
