I think this calls for another wow, Mary!! This is a really AMAZING capture!! There's so much texture to this fireworks capture, it looks almost like a spectacular solid overhead object to me...like a scintillating dazzling efflorescent ceiling light!! wow.

@Rebecca: Oh my gosh! thank you Rebecca! :) I was suprised how this one had turned out, most of the others were squiggles, I think I caught this one before it got to that stage! Looking forward to November 5th now :)
Mary!!! LOVELY!!!!! I love fireworks! Have you used the "fireworks setting" on the camera? This is PERFECT!!!! The color is outstanding!!!
3 Sep 2007 8:36am
@Lost Valley: Aww! thank you LV, :) I'm sure I did use the firework setting, I had intended to use the tripod, but it always gets in the way, so that was used for holding one of the lanterns lol :D as the fireworks went up I followed them with the camera.
Cool, Mary. I think you've caught it just perfectly. :)

Truly awesomely spectacularly gorgeous!!! Seriously!
3 Sep 2007 5:29pm
funny; i usually hate shots that are cut off or just not showing the subject clearly... unless, as with your shot here, they have personality. the firework's large enough and aesthetically centered; great!
3 Sep 2007 6:58pm
Beautuful MaryB!
3 Sep 2007 7:59pm
Well captured - fireworks up close do produce lovely abstracts and this one is a fine example indeed.
3 Sep 2007 8:25pm

4 Sep 2007 5:33pm
Hey MB, I really like the "almost" part with half of the subject out of the frame... to be honest, fireworks are kind of boring after you see a bunch but this is different and refreshing... nice job.
P.S. - haven't posted anything new but wanted to check in and see what you have been up to...
Cheers,
Rob
