Back to the seaside today, on the beach at Whitby, a family takes a stroll to watch the sunset.

I love the feeling of this picture.....it's so serene and nostalgic...makes me long for summer walks on the shore (I live 6 hours away from the closest ocean!! :) ). I love that the people are in silhoutte~ adds a big punch for me! Excellent capture MaryB

@Mandy: Thank you Mandy, the sunset that night was so very beautiful, it made lots of people stop to watch the sun go down, but these were the only people on the beach at the time! ( there were lots of people on the pier) It was extra special since the weather had been awful for weeks and this part of the UK had experinced really bad floods, so in a way it was the calm after the storm!

These soft blues, powered by the sunset glow, are absolutely wonderful. But then, blue is my color, and I love sunsets at the beach. The people walking together add a lot of interest. You have another good one here MaryB.

This was the calm after the rain storms which had been battering this part of the UK, leaving a lot of area flooded.

This is absolutely gorgeous, Mary!! I love the marvellous silky blue and silver tones, and that wonderful curve of the wave you've captured here!! Beautifully contemplative mood reflected in this family gazing at the sunset. Truly outstanding composition.

Ah, the irresistible sea! The sandy shore looks interesting - kind of glassy. Nice composition - you have a feeling of company and solitude at the same time: you can't beat friends on the beach. :)
