Ahhh! time has once again beaten me and I have been unable to answer all your lovely comments from yesterday :( so here is a collective BIG thank you to everyone :)
I found this little Foxglove peering from behind this post, looking for the sun :)

@tyan: It's a Foxglove tyan, they grow wild around here, some people see them as weeds, but I love them and so do the Bees :)

There's so much detail in this shot Maryb...it truly is lovely. the pinks of teh foxglove stand out so beautifully against the "moss" growing on the post. and the dark background behind it highlights it even more!! FANTASTIC

btw~ that snow was from last febuary for us in case you were wondering and it was mainly ice , my cars were stuck for nearly a week :(

This little flower seems to be inspecting the rusting barbed wire nailed to the weathered post. I like the different textures.

Wow!! I sure wish the foxgloves in our garden looked even remotely like this!! (Sadly, the shortcoming is all ours, that they haven't looked their best all summer!)
Absolutely fantastic capture and composition, Mary!! They look so fresh and beautiful...I really love their colours, and it's really neat how you've angled it as well. Truly marvellous!! :)

@Rebecca: Oh if only this was in our garden too! The foxgloves this year were ok but they seem to spring up in the most awkward places lol :D and no matter how hard I try I can't seem to get a decent capture of them!
I was walking to the shop with my son when I spotted this in a field by our house, I was so excited I ran back to get my camera, (I really embarrass my son sometimes lol :D ) it was just sitting there in the sunshine peering from behind the post! I couldn't belive my luck :) I was even more happy when it turned out :D
