Take a bow.Posted by MaryB (Staffordshire, United Kingdom) on 20 September 2007 in Animal & Insect. I nearly missed this one, I was just about to take it, when a car tried to squeeze by, by pure chance he bowed again, although I did have to crop it to get the car out of the shot :) ............................................................................................................

@rainsocks: Thank you rainsocks, they were really beautiful and friendly, more so if you had food for them :) @celialee: Well there was another zebra infront of him, but to be honest I think he was scratching his eye, I prefer to think he was bowing though :) @Organik: Oh, they were wonderful and so very friendly especially if you had food for them :) @Babul Bhatt: Thank you Babul :), it was one of those moments I wouldn't have wanted to miss :) Bron from Canberra, AustraliaWhat a shot Mary - I'm in awe of your candid ability!! 20 Sep 2007 6:32am @Bron: Awww! Bron thank you :) I love to take animal photographs, because they almost never pose and there is always the chance they will do something funny. @shutterbug: Thank you again Shutterbug :) Richard Irwin from Belper, United KingdomHow to scratch your ears when all you've got is a hoof...... 20 Sep 2007 7:39am @Richard Irwin: I know Richard but it's not half as romantic Lol :D It's much nicer to think that he was bowing to a lady zebra :) @badala: Thank you badala :) @Kheoh Yee Wei: It could be a Lady Zebra, KYW :) @Vanessa: Thanks hun :) R Francis from Over Yonder, United StatesGreat Capture of that NFL Referee after he blew that call on Sunday !!! I think you should take a bow now too Mary for this SPECTACULAR shot ! 20 Sep 2007 10:45am @R Francis: Why thank you kind Sir,your too kind :) "Great Capture of that NFL Referee after he blew that call on Sunday !!! " Erik from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsA bowing zebra! It's unbelievable, these proud animals! On the other hand, horses do it sometimes, too, when they're a bit nervous or in a not so good mood. I like especially the black-and-white stripes this way, and wonder how it would be in B&W and the background a bit more faded away. 20 Sep 2007 12:05pm @Erik: He could have been a little overwhelmed by all the cars Erik, not long after this the rangers enticed them all away, with the promise of food, as they were holding up the traffic. @Manuela Photography: Thank you Manuela, it was they are wonderful and friendly animals :) Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesZebra are one of God's most spectacular bursts of creative imagination, IMO. They are so fun to watch. Very nice image of this humble little guy. 20 Sep 2007 12:27pm @Viewfinder: I agree with you VF. :) Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South AfricaLovely capture MaryB...I'm so glad he took his bow again for you... We have them roaming freely up in a housing estate near the north of the country, a place called Marloth Park - it borders the Kruger Park...they come up to the houses and they eat out of your hands.....the kids love it, it's always a treat when the zebra's come to the house. :) 20 Sep 2007 12:44pm @Mandy Provan: Thank you Mandy :) @jen: Thank you Jen :) amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaGreat capture and nicely cropped!! Love zebras... now I can't remember: is it black on white? Hmmm, just one of those trivial pursuit questions. LOL 20 Sep 2007 2:06pm @amy: Cheers Amy, :) @alla: Cheers alla :) @Nick Passantino: Cheers Nick, if the car had just moved a little more forward, it would have been better, but I was still glad I managed to get it :) Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaSUPERB!!! fantastic capture Maryb, he's soo pretty :) 20 Sep 2007 3:52pm @Lorraine: Oooo!
