These Giraffes are HUGE! I've seen them in the zoo but these were walking between the cars, on the look out for food! So there I am my head out of the car window, taking a shot of one feeding from a guys hand, when this huge head came towards me, at this point he started to drool! he thought I had food Lol :D, I turned the camera his way and took his pic, then beat a hasty retreat into the car! :D If you visit tomorrow you will see the shot I took of the man feeding one from his car, it will give you some idea how big the giraffes head is!
Any tips or constructive criticism are welcome :)

@tyan: Very quicky tyan, Lol :D I didn't expect this, as I was focused on his friend who was feeding from someones hand! and he apeared right above me. I just took the shot so quickly, as he was getting too close for comfort :D It would have been a very sloppy kiss, he was drooling everywhere! what a cool expression this fella has !!! I like this mary , very cool .... makes me think of Toy's R Us and Christmas time .......lol..... incase you do not know what I am talking about there is a tor store in the states that has giraffes as their mascotts .....lol

What a great shot; these things look gentle but are pretty fierce out in the wild and can kick the daylights out of certain predators -- they do a frontal assault thing with their forelegs rather than from behind like a donkey. Blessings for your weekend, too, MaryB.

Growing up in Oklahoma, there was a place like this called Arbuckle Wilderness- it was amazing to be so close to those huge, beautiful animals. They have the longest , grossest tongues. Thanks for the pic- I really loved being reminded of those times!
