This is just a small part of the amazing architecture in the Vatican City in Rome! I can't put into words how amazing this place is! the buildings, sculptures, the paintings................Wow! When we walked through the doors of St Peters Basilica it reduced me to tears, when I saw it, it was so overwhelming, so beautiful so awesome!
Any tips or constructive criticism are welcome :)

Fantastic shot Mary, its fab hun.
Nicky is OK and I'll be meeting up with her on Saturday and staying over until Sunday, we have an investigation to go to. The hospital thinks I have fractured my foot, its been strapped up and I have to go back next week for another X Ray. It's very swollen, but until I know its fractured I'll treat it as any foot injury and carry on as normal.

Thanks for sharing! You won't believe it but just before I write this I wrote a reply to Wolfgang Prigge's comment: "St. Peter will be glad :)" because he found the sky on my picture "toll" (in German this means both great and crazy). Immediately having done this I click on your posting and whom do I see? St. Peter! Your picture is amazing and makes one wonder how it must be in reality.

Wow, this really is so majestic, dear Mary, i can totally feel with you your deep emotions when you gazed on this; truly an amazing amazing sight to behold; we backpacked to this city as penny-pinched students years ago, and even then we were utterly in wonder at the architecture, art and whole feel of this place; you have reflected its totally awe-inspiring qualities so wonderfully in your picture. Oh Mary! Sorry haven't visited for a little while! This photo is fantastic - so full of detail and excellent tonal range! If there is one place on earth I would like to photograph it is there! And the rest of Rome and Italy of course. Funny, it was so close really when I lived in England, but never got there. Now, I am so much further away - but I have to try and get there one day! Beautiful! :-)
