Last Sunday there was a very heavy fog, but it created with the street lights and trees some wonderful silhouettes, shapes and colours, so went out and took some shots. the UFO's are the street lights, if you hadn't already guessed :D
Sorry I didn't get around all the blogs on Friday, I had a day and a half! The day started well, went out early to do a friends hair, on my way home I realised I'd got no house key and I was locked out!!!! My hubby was at work miles away and so was my son. The weather was cold and wet. I would have to wait outside for 4 hrs till one of them returned. After a few minutes I noticed that a window was not locked properly, how to get in was the next problem, to cut a long story short I had to break into the garage to get the step ladders, to climb up to the window! then somehow I managed to go head first through the open window (not the biggest of gaps) and landed head first on the bed legs dangling out of the window LOL :D needless to say I've some huge bruises on my legs! as I opened the back door the get my shopping, it started to bucket down with rain. So guess who was pleased that she had managed to get into the house LOL :D I will never forget my keys again, I'm way to old to be climbing in through windows :D
Any tips or constructive criticism are welcome :)
I really appreciate all your comments, thank you so much. I'm only sorry I've not got time to respond. I do read all the comments and will try to answer any questions you have about my posts :)

What a beautiful fog... I'm glad that you got into your house though. :)

LOL except for the bruises! This happens to everybody at least once in one's life. It occurred to me two times, but I had no opportunity to climb in, so one time I had to wait (walk) and the other time I went to my wife's workplace to collect the key (one hour to and from). The picture perfectly expresses the chilly atmosphere I experience when walking my dog late this time of the year!

@Illuci: Thank you Erik for your kind words, it has certainly taught me a lesson and now I take my keys with me everwhere! It was funny though, it had crossed my mind that someone might call the police if they had seen me LOL.
LOL Poor You...Imagine if the neighbours had called the police!!! Fantastic catch, maybe the spaceship up there (sure looks like one) took photos to show how strangely humans entered their abode...never know :)

Great story, unfortunately - true.. Hope all your bruises heal quickly! At least you landed on the bed, can't imagine if you wound up landing on a hard surface!! Ugh. This is a perfect image to go with this story... Don't you love when you get in the house - just before the rain!! Hope this week end's better than last..Be Well

Great story Mary! but you did it and it shows you're young enogh. So there is a way if you forgot your key again. Just remember leave that window open ;)
And this shot is kinda mysterious. Well done.

Were the Flying Saucers in the photograph hovering there snapping pictures of you going through all that. They must have had a giggle. Good thing there was no copper to arrest you for Breaking and Entering.

What a story! And I'm glad you managed to survive the ordeal. The photo is excellent; a bleak weather moment and looking at it, I feel chilled to the bone.

Yes, those silhouettes are striking! Foggy shots are the greatest! I like the stray colors, too. They are very other-worldly, as you say! =-)

lovely shot and story - but they are definitely not street lights - they behave very differently in the fog - please be straight with us, MaryB and tell us what you really saw :-) We can take it.

LOVE the story!! I've had clusters similar... fun to know we're all human!! Excellent mood shot Mary!

Wow, Fabulous capture of this fog atmosphere. I really like these beautifully striking silhouettes, and those lights do look somewhat unearthly indeed! And you are truly an adventurous soul, dear Mary. I doubt I would have attempted what you did. A hearty bravo to you, dear lady! :)
