This is the place around the corner from where we live, it's a lovely peaceful place, it was beautiful this day with the snow coming down thick and fast.
This is shown as it was taken.

@tyan: Thank you hun :) I wish I'd have thought of it looking like Narnia,it would have made a good title :) you are so right, and at the time it felt like we were in another world, it was magical.

Sehr schöne Aufnahme. Durch die blaufärbung gewinnt das bild deutlich an Aussagekraft. Nur ein wenig schärfer dürfte es sein.
Very beautiful admission. By the blue color the picture wins clearly at force of expression. A little only more sharply it might be.
I hope my bad English am understandable.

@T-Daddy: Vielen Dank T-Vati. Ich wünsche, dass es ein wenig schärferes auch war, war das Wetter sehr schlechter, sehr vieler Schnee fiel, und ich habe kein dreibeiniges Stativ gehabt, damit kombiniert mit dem Schneesturz und einem 1/2 eine zweite Aussetzung, ist es ein kleines herausgekommen, das verschleiert worden ist. Ich hoffe, dass Sie mein Deutsch verstehen können, musste ich einen Übersetzer benutzen, damit ich hoffe, dass Sie mich verstehen können. :)

I apparently missed making my previous comment about the weather here a negative, but it seems you understood it correctly anyway. It does sometimes freeze overnight here in the winter, but snow is exceptionally rare. Today it's "cold" with temps in the 50's, and next week it will be back to temps in the 80's. So this is not the kind of scene we see around here in the winter.

To answer your question, there was lots and lots of snow falling at the time. and it is a hand held shot with a 1/2 second exposure :)

No excuses of having no tripod with you, an artist like you must produce crisp pictures :). But I agree with ColNed (is his name Erik too?), the blue color compensates amply for the lack of crisp!
