Iced Blue.Posted by MaryB (Staffordshire, United Kingdom) on 23 November 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This is the place around the corner from where we live, it's a lovely peaceful place, it was beautiful this day with the snow coming down thick and fast. Sorry I didn't manage to reply to comments yesterday but I did read them all, thank you so much, I really do appreciate them :) ............................................................................................................

tyan from Singaporewow this is amazing mary,i love it very much!!reminds me of the movie Chronicles of narnia by CS lewis..:) 23 Nov 2007 5:36am @tyan: Thank you hun :) I wish I'd have thought of it looking like Narnia,it would have made a good title :) you are so right, and at the time it felt like we were in another world, it was magical. alla from Toronto, Canadabbbbrrrrrr, don't miss the snow yet :) 23 Nov 2007 6:00am @alla: Thank you alla :) Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South AfricaOoh it looks so cold!!! What a beautiful landscape...all covered in snow.....aaah it brings a host of Christmas carols to mind!!! Thanks for the sweet reminder Mary - it's beautiful. 23 Nov 2007 6:19am @Mandy Provan: It was Mandy, it was snowing so much, and it was getting dark too, but it was really magical. T-Daddy from Dachsbach, GermanySehr schöne Aufnahme. Durch die blaufärbung gewinnt das bild deutlich an Aussagekraft. Nur ein wenig schärfer dürfte es sein. Very beautiful admission. By the blue color the picture wins clearly at force of expression. A little only more sharply it might be. 23 Nov 2007 7:37am @T-Daddy: Vielen Dank T-Vati. :) ColNed Pictures from Amersfoort, NetherlandsGreat shot, very nice blue tones you've added... great work, looks real cold.. nice work ! 23 Nov 2007 8:01am @ColNed Pictures: Thank you ColNed... Erik :) PS. This is the original colour it came out I haven't had to do any pp to this one :) Me 2 from Hamburg, United Statesvery cool shot ! I think I would have to give pause before I went into the woods though ! reminds me of Sleepy Hollow a little 23 Nov 2007 4:40pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesI apparently missed making my previous comment about the weather here a negative, but it seems you understood it correctly anyway. It does sometimes freeze overnight here in the winter, but snow is exceptionally rare. Today it's "cold" with temps in the 50's, and next week it will be back to temps in the 80's. So this is not the kind of scene we see around here in the winter. 23 Nov 2007 4:44pm Lost Valley ( Weekend Warrior) from Kamloops, CanadaWOW!!! I wanna play in it!! Let's go!!! 23 Nov 2007 4:55pm standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceVery nice picture. Thanks for you visiting and for your nice words. I know how many blogger friends you have had and I understand how much time you need to have to visit and to reply to all of them. There is no wonder to that because you really take wonderful photos. And this one is wonderful too; it shows all the beauty of the snow and how winter can be beautiful. It really is my pleasure when I saw your name on my blog but don’t worry and drop by when ever you can. 24 Nov 2007 8:46pm Takiyah from Snellville, United StatesThe snow is so beautiful MaryB! Send some over to Georgia:) 25 Nov 2007 4:01am Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsNo excuses of having no tripod with you, an artist like you must produce crisp pictures :). But I agree with ColNed (is his name Erik too?), the blue color compensates amply for the lack of crisp! 25 Nov 2007 7:09pm @Illuci: Ahh! thank you dear Erik :) Tse Min from Broadford, Australiai feel like i'm in amongst the snow. wonderful shot! 26 Nov 2007 12:14pm @Sarala: Brrr, is the right word Sarala, it was very cold :) |
