AlonePosted by MaryB (Staffordshire, United Kingdom) on 23 January 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. We went out to feed the ducks, swans and geese at a local country park yesterday and we were swamped with lots and lots of birds all wanting food,(it's a wee bit scary when you have a dozen or so Canada Geese all coming towards you at once, and combinded with the Swans, Ducks and other water birds it can get very scary!) people feed them regulary in the summer but because it's cold and wet now, very few people seem to go and feed them. There is one white duck who although small is always at the front of the que, if you dare to ignore him he pecks gently at your shins, he's such a character. While the feeding frenze was going on, I noticed this loan crow, circle around a few times but not joining in with the madness that was going on. He settled long enough for me to get a few shots of him. ............................................................................................................
