Don't be blue, think Pink.

I've been experimenting with photoshop, paintnet and picasa2 lol :D (It'a not brilliant but after all it is an experiment :) )

I've changed winter from white to Pink!
So I thought why not center the tree in the image too, I've broken one rule so why not two lol :D

This is for Lorraine, Amy, Wolfgang and everyone who are currently snowed under.
I can't change the weather but I can change it's colour :)

Sorry I couldn't put links up, I can't highlight to add a link or anything else :(

Pink snow; one might wonder if global warming is at play. Ha! But your experiment is a success, doctor M.

I've been having that same "can't hi-light" problem on my end, too. Sometimes I can make a hi-light, sometimes I can't. This morning I can. It's been like this randomly for about a week or more.

A shot with a difference, most people want to change pink snow to white, it does have a nice lighting effect, where was it taken

@Peter Miller: Thanks Peter, this was actually a very blue/purple to start with and it was snowing, I used the curves in PS to get the pink, then paintnet to add the ink drawing and voila lol :)
It was taken in the fields off Love Lane Gt Wyrley in Feb 07

Very original, such a kind wish for members "suffering" from snow! Nice, I'm also experiementing with a photoshop-like program and a whole world opens itself for me. It's called gimp and you can download it for free from www.gimp.org. It's not very user-friendly (maybe that makes it for free) and you have to experiment and trial-and-error because the online guide presupposes a lot of photoprocessing pre-knowledge, or at least immediate understanding without much explanation. Its main purpose for me is to correct images that have "something" preventing them from being worthwhile enough to post on AM3: a branch impeding good view, too much lens distortion, part of picture not enough contrast and the other parts OK, etc. Now I'm busy to sort out old pictures to correct. Nice, relaxing work I must say, and requires patience.

@Illuci: Thank you Erik :) I love experimenting, and have found some great tutorials on YouTube, when I saw you were using gimp I thought I'd look to see if they had any tutorials.......they do lots of them, go to YouTube and just type in tutorials for gimp, you may have to trawl through lot's till you get what your looking for but it's definatly worth it. Have fun :)

We all need a little pink in our lives, MaryB. When we stop experimenting I think we begin to stagnate…and we know where that leads. This snowscape has never looked better.

I also tried to highlight or mark text but it does not want to work - I thought it was only me - if more people experience this we should report it somehow so it can be fixed?
