This is the first half decent shot I've ever got of a heron. Taken at Lichfield Staffordshire.
We're off to York tomorrow, so will be back Monday, have a good weekend everyone :)

Very nice in sepia. BTW, if you want heron shots, come visit FL someday. Herons, egrets, spoonbills, and more. All you could hope for.

Hear, hear, I'm Lord Heron, and I allowed Mrs. MaryB to photograph me, under the strict condition that my dignity and nobility would be expressed in the portrait. Thanks to the traditional sepia - I despise modern colors - she has very well succeeded in this assignment of mine and I hereby appoint her to my personal photographer.

thanks Mary for your lovely comment,i am happy to bring back happy memories for you...actually that day,caleb also was about to place both his hands on the water surface,thinking it was solid ground.If i was a second slower,he would have fallen into the pond and drank some of its mirky green water with fishes in his pockets as well,LOL:)
