Cheers, Rob 9 Apr 2008 12:25pm @Rob: Thank you Rob, I have tried it in mono and it does look quite nice, I'm in the process of trying to give it an old tinted effect to see how that looks. :) Hope you and yours are ok, still thinking of you all. Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceGood framing and bright colors for this beautiful picture where winter and spring mix well. 9 Apr 2008 12:48pm Saeed from Tehran, Iranwowwwwwwwww.... 9 Apr 2008 6:27pm standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceBeautiful composition. I love the colours contrast! 9 Apr 2008 6:55pm danthro from Suburbia, United Statesbeautiful capture. not the ordinary flower shot. nice title too. ...so that's what hyacinths look like. do they normally grow in the cold? 9 Apr 2008 7:34pm @danthro: Thank you danthro, these are a very tiny variety of Hyacinth, a spring flower. They seem to be quite a tough little flower as the snow didn't seem to bother them too much. We don't normally get snow this late in the year, apparently it was the heaviest snowfall in April for 20 years :) Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsGreat natural colors :)! Also a nice spring postcard! I love it! BTW Thanks for your comment on the skipping rope, it was exactly how I felt it! My sister was also surprised and when I asked my son (a pc games addict) he said that at his school rope jumping or skipping was quite usual, so not everything disappears, children here play also fanatically with marbles in the proper season (autumn I believe). 9 Apr 2008 7:55pm Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaFantastic!! Love the contrasting colours, and the DOF on the grass. Good shot. 9 Apr 2008 7:58pm MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyLovely! (I hope this is an older photo, or do you still have snow...?) 9 Apr 2008 8:36pm @MadScientist: Thank you MS, it was taken last Sunday the 6th April, the snow only lasted the day and was gone. The composition is excellent. 9 Apr 2008 10:36pm Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesVery clear and colorful... and truly representative of spring. 10 Apr 2008 3:12am Nishana Minhaz from Calicut, Indiawonderful contrast between the snow n the purple.. it does have something very fresh bout it.. good shot. btw, is this an old pic or do u still have snow?? 10 Apr 2008 3:13am @Nishana Minhaz: thank you :) |
