Carriage Lamp.

This lamp was on the rear carriage of the train, that was stopped at the station.
I'm really happy with this shot, I didn't have to crop it just straighten it a little.

A really BIG thank you to everyone for all your comments yesterday, I was as pleased as punch with the image and I'm glad you all liked it too :) this is another favourite of mine from the day

ON OUR RECENT TRIP, TO NORWAY AND THE ARCTIC, WE VISITED 7 PLACES AND TRAVELED A TOTAL DISTANCE OF 4233 NAUTICAL MILES
1 nautical mile = 1.15 land miles or 1.852 kilometers.

Great atmosphere image of railroad and train nostalgia! I love the colors, especially the four white and red elements (of which two in one integrated), keeping each other in balance, the pillars of the picture. And the well-designed blurring to give the lamp the attention it deserves. Of course an image by MaryB, no further recommendation needed.

Love this Mary, sorry for being quiet but very busy, and off to London on Friday. i love the perspective in this and the selective dof. Oh yes the re enactments were taken at History in action at Kirby Hall in Liecestershire, check it out on the web. Whoops not sure but I think it has become non existent any more but there are plenty of this type of action as close as stafford Castle or Warwick

You really made the color, contrast and focus work for you in this. Great detail as well.
My next couple posts are of a train trestle I just stopped at on the way home from my trip. I guess there is just something about trains that are addictive.
