Saeed from Tehran, Iranvery nice shot. excellent composition & very good colors. i like it. 22 Apr 2008 7:15am Alun Lambert from Cheshire, United KingdomAnother good image, i liked the b/w yesterday more. 22 Apr 2008 8:35am Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesI think your composition is beautiful, here, MaryB. The softness of the backdrop allows me to focus on the energy and dynamism of your handsome subject! 22 Apr 2008 10:11am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaOh you are ready for portraits ! and he is gorgeous ;) lol 22 Apr 2008 11:19am Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesThis is nice; his hands appear to be quite comfortable on those strings. 22 Apr 2008 11:34am Melissa W. from Warsaw, Indiana, United StatesAnother wonderful composition. Love the color in this...nice contrast. Great job! 22 Apr 2008 11:58am Man With 101 Names from Hamburg, United StatesThe colors are so rich here , very nice framing . 22 Apr 2008 1:20pm Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesThe photo does a nice job of capturing the action of the hands here by what seems to be almost a highlight of them. Those coupled with the warm colors of green and brown. 22 Apr 2008 1:46pm Observing from Chester, United KingdomA image with natural color, and I like the light and also the darker background, brings the subject to life. Pity we can't hear the music. 22 Apr 2008 2:10pm Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesI like the softness of this shot - did you intend it that way or was it the uploading process that changed it? 22 Apr 2008 2:33pm Elisa from Massachusetts, United Statesgreat framing MaryB!! I like the softness, nice pp! :) 22 Apr 2008 2:58pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaYes, Mary!! The background is much better on this one than yesterday's!! But his hands are a little overexposed which a little distracting ... but otherwise I really love this one. The pose is great with the interest on the guitar, the profile (meeeoooww!), and the soft colours (the blacks are so rich). 22 Apr 2008 5:04pm Tracey from White Hall, United StatesI like this one but am pulled toward the b/w. The blow out of the hands is a bit distracting, but otherwise it is gorgeous. The PP you did with the color is beautiful. 22 Apr 2008 5:21pm Marco from Verbania, Italyhi mary simple and fantastic!!! great atmosphere, nice point of view,,,,well well done!!! 22 Apr 2008 5:27pm Mandy Provan from Johannesburg, South AfricaAnother winner Mary - awesome! Love the colours and the DOF...everything is just perfect! 22 Apr 2008 5:43pm Levine from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaReally great detail in this shot, Wonder what lens u were using for this shot. 22 Apr 2008 6:24pm Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaGreat shot, looks like an album cover. Agree with Amy on the hands, being a bit overexposed. Good stuff. 22 Apr 2008 8:02pm standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceAnother wonderful one Mary. I really like the softness here! Well done. 22 Apr 2008 8:47pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomA masterful piece of photography Mary, perfect colour, composition, framing and DOF. 22 Apr 2008 8:54pm Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesLike it. Very nice tones and the softness fits the subject. 22 Apr 2008 9:14pm Nina from Hamburg, GermanyI can almost hear the sound of the guitar. Great color and details! 22 Apr 2008 9:18pm danthro from Suburbia, United Statesthis is great. beautiful light, colors, detail. i think i have a slight preference for yesterday's. i think it was the combination of yesterday's pose and feeling from the monochrome. 22 Apr 2008 9:38pm Kris from Middlesbrough, United KingdomWow, Like i said yesterday... to me this is inspiring. 22 Apr 2008 10:03pm akarui from Kagoshima, JapanYou allready had some feedback... The atmosphere in the wood with this background is nice. Like others I also prefer the pose of yesterday picture. As we see nearly all his body I feel the crop on his head too tied and I would like to have a little space to turn around (just a thought). An other nice portrait anyway. 22 Apr 2008 11:43pm Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesI really like the color in this one...the softness of the shot and the framing! 22 Apr 2008 11:44pm Stefan from Nassau, United StatesYes i see the softness in the hands, looks great!!! 23 Apr 2008 1:55am tyan from Singapore, Singaporei love the soft look. Can almost hear him strumming:) So was this gentleman doing it for fun or 'busker-ing'? 23 Apr 2008 2:23am @tyan: Thank you Tyan, this is my hubby Ian, who I highjacked to get some portrait practice :) he's been playing for over 30yrs. stuart from Birmingham, United KingdomI really like this. It reminds me of an album cover from the 60's or something, love the tones and how natural it looks. And the colour is lovely 23 Apr 2008 5:21pm Harald from Frankfurt am Main, GermanyAnother beautiful portrait. I like the background. The colors fits perfect to the man and his guitar. 23 Apr 2008 6:06pm Eric Fry from Houston, TX, United StatesMakes me want to listen to some Fairport Convention! 25 Apr 2008 8:39pm |
