Horse Chestnut Flower

Posted by MaryB (Staffordshire, United Kingdom) on 19 May 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

This is the flower of the horse chestnut tree.
Taken at Merrions Wood, Great Barr, Walsall UK. Sunday 18th May 08. It's not the sharpest image but I liked it and there is no pp on this, it's straight out of the camera.

Well the weekend has been totally hectic! we celebrated my mother-in-laws 85th birthday (it was on the 13th) Saturday, it also happend to be our eldest son's 23rd birthday. If that wasn't enough to celebrate, his girlfriend Rachael has just qualified as a nurse and our youngest son has got a place at Uni to study Philosophy. So I've only just got around to visiting everyone Phew! lol
