Primula Viallii

Posted by MaryB (Staffordshire, United Kingdom) on 8 June 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

These a poker like spikes of scarlet which open from the base into violet purple flowers.
I first saw this in a plant catalog, and was really suprised to see it at the local farm shop, so I had to buy it :)

We're off to Wales today to Lake Bala, for an overnight stay, to do some gentle walking ( a knee injury prevents me from walking too far though :( ) Will be back on Monday night, see you then. I've posted a pic of another of the flowers in my garden tomorrow
