Barn Owl

Taken at a bird sanctuary in Wales last year.. Most of these birds can't be released back into the wild for one reason or another.

@Lorraine: Thank you hun :) I wish that they could be free too, but all the birds at this sanctuary have something that prevents that, they are well looked after, loved and very safe :)

Nature is so beautiful.
I just wrote someone this evening about a local bird sanctuary and here you have it. At least they are being cared for. They are there for a reason, injury or illness.

Never saw it captured this way!!! Absolutely fantastic!!! So crisp and yet silky, the pattern on the feathercoat is so elegant!
