Life boat.

I was sitting on the deck enjoying the beautiful sunshine, when I looked up and saw one of the life boats against the blue sky, & thought it would make an interesting shot.

You will get to see the full ship on Friday. :)

Great shot! I did not know lifeboats had motorized. Beats rowing, I'd say.

@Viewfinder: Thanks VF, these boats were used as tenders to transport us when the ship couldn't dock at a port, it was great fun :)

I was totally relaxed on this holiday, it was wonderful. I wanted to capture something different each day, which was great fun, I'm glad you find this series interesting as it was my aim to take something more than just snap shots from this trip. :) I also managed to get some wildlife shot's (some in an aquarium some on land and in the air) I'm also quite pleased with my scenery shots too (as this is not my forte) I hope you enjoy the rest of the series as much as I did photographing it :)

A flying boat! Better to see the life boat from this angle than from the inside...

@António Pires: Thank you Antonio, we did get to go inside, when the ship couldn't dock at the port it was our transport on to Ny-Alesund :)

Before reading the caption, I wondered if you had been underwater in the most clearest of seas, looking up. The mixture of white, green and blue is a delicious colour mix, a lovely shot.
