Three ships.

The good ship Artemis, berthed at Stavanger Norway (it's the one in the middle if you didn't guess lol )
Can't believe it's the weekend already and on Sunday we'll have been back for a whole week, how time flies!
Have a great weekend everyone, will be back on Monday, with a post from our first port of call Stavanger Norway :)

I love Tall Ships and capturing that one in front of your floating home, the Artemis, makes for a wonderful photo.

Nicely shot, although maybe if you shot it in portrait you'd be able to get the entire mast in?

If only you could have seen me taking this shot, I had the umbrella handle under my chin and the rain was coming down by the bucket full. (we had only just walked this short distance from the ship, when the heavens opened) My hubby said I was crazy as I was soaked to the skin, trying to keep the camera dry and take a shot lol, hence why I didn't take it in portrait mode :D
I could have kicked myself, when I saw that I'd cut off the mast though!

A very nice dockside view. But I was blown away by the numbers of nautical miles you all travelled. I can only wonder if they can also measure that distance in gigabytes, in terms of your camera's chips and how many photos you took in that space. Heh.

Can you imagine having to parallel park that thing? lol I love boats and the ocean and this is wonderful along with the soft rain and the young woman with an umbrella makes this brilliant shot, perfect ;) Have a great weekend MaryB!

Wow - very different versions of a "ship"!! hahaha, such a great contrast of the ship of old and the new modern "super ship" Great capture Mary. I love the feel the misty weather adds to the picture

Tall ships always photograph well. How much do you know about Macro work Mary? I have heard taking a good macro with a Macro lens isn't very easy. Any advice? or tips?

While the ship in the middle is impressing through size and shape, the tall ship - with its intricate patterns in the masts - brings an old charm to your shot....AND....the fact that it was raining is a plus, at least from my point of view!

Magnificent Mary. Tall mast ships are nautical pieces of art. This one is a beauty in contrast to the big ocean liners around it. That was many miles you traveled, it must have been a beautiful experience.

What an overwhelming difference! Modern man is capable to build almost anything, our ancestors had to do with "what their hands could handle". Lately I was in a historical village (see my picture) and modern houses and buildings had to be put next to centuries-old houses. The modern constructors did their best to let their creations fit into the existing old architecture, but because of budget limitations their houses became far more straight and flawless, without all the details. This is a super illustration of it!
