Light of the world.

I'm dedicating this to Judy and her beloved husband, on their 49th wedding anniversary. Wishing you both a wonderful day. God bless.

I'm also dedicating it to my Mother, who passed 23 1/2 yrs ago. Where ever I go in the world I alway's light a candle for her. Just before this shot I lit a candle and had one of my little chats with my Mam.
Tromso is a brilliant place to see the Northern Lights, but we were there in the wrong season. Mam alway's wanted to see the Northern lights, so I'm going to have to go back to see them :)

I had to lighten this a touch as the candles were situated in one of the darkest parts of the church. Another hand held, guess who forgot her tripod lol.

Very beautiful how you've captured the delicate light here! I know your feelings very well. After a church shooting I usually light a candle too.

I love the composition of this one, MaryB! The strong numbers in the background add a strange sense of stability and permanence to the other worldly candle holder. I love the darkness in the shot adding a somber feeling.

I'm a trained hairstylist of 30 yrs, and you need a steady hand when cutting around peoples ears or there would be a lot of earless people wandering around lol. That's the only thing I can put it down to, sometimes they turn out like this, and others just have to be deleated. I have another hand held church shot on Monday, which is my favourite :)
