This Gull was definately making himself heard. Taken at the Harbour in Bergen.

Nice, smooth and comfortable entrance for fish, so different from human torture nets and hooks! Very good picture, just the right moment because I can't imagine that you waited until he would open his bill; before you could press the button it would already be too late.

Hey MaryB...how goes it,pal...this is a superb portrait of this chopsy gull...excellent detail in the feathers..
b.t.w....I meant to ask you before my Majorca trip ,if you saw that programme with Joanna Lumley,about her trip to the find the Northern Lights..I was thinking of you and hub..at the time,she must have taken a similar route to your cruise,the scenery was fantastic ,you lucky photographer you..!!!

Yes we saw it, well half of it, she did take a similar route including Tromso where she saw the lights and she ended up in Spitsbergen too! it's inspired us to take a trip of our own next year (credit crunch permitting) I'm saving like a mad woman, all the money we got for our silver wedding anniversay and my 50th!!!! also any spare change we can find to make it happen, lol
We must get there, I have got to see the Northern Lights they looked amazing!

Girl!! You are so fantastic!!! The is an incredible shot!!!!!!!
And being Canadian, I've seen the Northern Lights many times... they are so very worth seeing. And sometimes you can hear them crackle as well. It's spellbinding.
