Natures time piece (Dandelion Clock)

Posted by MaryB (Staffordshire, United Kingdom) on 6 May 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Had to take a few shots of these before the wind blew them away, they are a complete menace in the garden as they will spring up everywhere but they are just too pretty to get rid of altogether :)

Many thanks to Richard http://wideangle.aminus3.com/ for giving me a clue to yesterday's flowers identiy after googling his suggestion, that it looked like a Knapweed this was what i found. :)
Centaurea montana Knapweed. At long last I've finally found out the name of this lovely flower :)

This is a hand held close up, taken on the macro setting, cropped then converted to B&w in Picasa.
