Silhouettes play on the beach

This was taken at Barmouth in Welsh Wales on Saturday 30th May 09.
A beautiful day out. I love the silhouettes especially the lady on the left. I had a play with the contrast and sharpening, useing Microsoft office picture manager and Picasa3 on this one, just to try something different for a change, I like the result, hope you do too :)

The reason I've not been commenting, the weather has been fabulous here over the last few days, and have been doing outdoor jobs. Will it last?....... who knows :) I mean the weather not the outdoor jobs lol :D

I really love the effect Mary - I especially love the shimmery feel to it and the feeling of nostalgia it conjures up as I look at it and long to be on a sunny beach with the warm waves lapping at my feet....... Can you tell it's cold here now!!1 hahaha

I normally do not like sharpenng much but this is THE case when it does a lot for the effect.

This is an absoloutely fabulous shot. I can see it blown up to 20 ins across, mounted on a back board and put up in an exhibition at the seaside (I'm thinking along the sea front in Brighton, actually). I really really like it (can you guess?!) Certainly my shot of the day...enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!

@MrsAmber: Thank you you've made my day and made me blush :) It's something different for me and I was in two minds as to weather to post it or not. I will get this one blown up, it'll be interesting to see how it looks. I'd orginally posted the whole scene, then the woman on the left caught my eye and thought it would make an interesting crop, the rest was me just playing around really :)

The silhouettes work perfectly here. I like the glistening water with the blue. The composition of the people tell a story.
The woman and girl with outstretched arms are my favorites. I really like this. Well spotted.
